Novolac Vinyl Ester
Common Usage
A high-build, vinyl ester lining with corrosion resistant graphite and other specialty fillers to create a low surface energy film imparting a high degree contact angle resulting in improved non-stick characteristics. Use this enhanced, silica-free material in prevention of process material build-up such as fly ash, caking by-products and slurry deposits. Save time and costs with the improved cleaning properties of this coating versus other non-release type linings. An ideal finish coat for hot caustic and non-silica preferred lining applications such as hydrofluoric acid.

Self-priming (as a single coat) or Series 1402, 1407. Note: For services above 180°F (82°C), do not use a primer.
Topcoats
Series 1444 is a finish coat only.

12.0 to 60.0 mils (305 to 1525 microns)

Note: Certain service applications may require elevated temperature cure for maximum performance. Recoat times are typical for coating to be dry-to-touch and ready for the next application. Immersion and certain other services may require longer cure times and/or elevated temperature post cure for optimal performance. ASTM D2583 Barcol Hardness check is also recommended. Volume Solids
85.0 ± 2.0% (mixed). Series 1444 contains a reactive monomer and some loss will occur during application and cure. Actual solids by volume will vary depending upon temperature and air movement.
