This Oak Harbor water tank takes its inspiration from the skies above Whidbey Island. Located near Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, the mural depicts a radar image of the island and surrounding area, including the takeoff and landing patterns used by aircraft at the base. The top of the tank carries a special message for the pilots flying overhead—a detail that makes this tank as much a part of the local community as it is the water system. Finished with Tnemec Series 1028, it’s a unique tribute to the island, the base and the people who call Whidbey home.
