Even though the detail of this water tank mural is extraordinary, the goal of the storage vessel’s coating work is actually to limit its visibility. The 4.5 MG ground storage tank in Redmond, Wash., was coated in 2021 using Tnemec’s fluoropolymer finish coat, HydroFlon, on its exterior in a variety of colors, and lined on its interior using a high-solids, fast-cure epoxy lining. The result is a tank that’s beauty is only noticeable up close, even though it’s still an important asset to the community on a daily basis.
