2025 Tank of the Year Winner

Standing proudly in the heart of Fargo, North Dakota, the new Downtown Water Tower replaces three aging multi-leg towers, including the nearly 90-year-old tower that once stood nearby. With a 2.5-million-gallon capacity, it’s the largest elevated water storage facility in North Dakota. Its size and visibility made it the perfect choice for Fargo’s first public art installation under a new arts initiative. Shaped through community input, the mural captures the city’s spirit with the winding Red River of the North, downtown skyline, outdoor recreation, and local symbols — all celebrating what makes Fargo a vibrant place to live, work, and play. Protected by Tnemec’s Series 700 HydroFlon, the colorful design will remain vibrant for decades to come.
