More than two decades of experience in the protective coatings industry have provided Denis with a clear understanding of what is important to a successful coatings project. His expertise includes an in-depth knowledge of regulations setting stricter limits for maximum volatile organic compounds (VOC), which is essential to writing specifications in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). Prior to joining Tnemec in 2000, Denis gained valuable experience as a representative with the Carboline Company for 13 years and with Garland Floor Company for two years. A NACE Certified Coating Inspector, Denis belongs to the Society of Protective Coatings (SSPC) and the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the United States International University in San Diego where he played Division 1 hockey and tennis. He still enjoys tennis, roller and ice hockey and taking ski vacations with his family.
