Tnemec Company, Inc. Announces Licensing Agreement Involving Selected Bridgeport Chemical Products

(KANSAS CITY, Mo., Jan. 30, 2007) – Tnemec Company, Inc., a leading manufacturer of protective coatings for industrial and specialty architectural markets, has entered into a sales/marketing and manufacturing license agreement with Bridgeport Chemical in Sarasota, Fla., announced Chase Bean, vice president of Sales.

“The agreement, which covers Bridgeport Chemical products used in the above-ground storage tank and industrial markets, strengthens our existing line of protective coatings and linings for these markets,” Bean explained. “The addition of these high performance, chemical resistant coatings provides Tnemec with new strategic opportunities in the petrochemical, acids, ethanol and solvents production and storage sectors.”

Under the agreement, Tnemec has the use of Bridgeport Chemical and Glass Armor™ trade names in conjunction with sales/marketing and manufacturing activities. The Glass Armor series of high performance, thick-film epoxy coatings and linings are designed for all types of chemical immersion and spill and splash environments.

Dillingham noted that over the past six years, Bridgeport has been approached by four major coating manufacturers that were interested in reaching a similar agreement to this one. “It wasn’t until we were contacted by Tnemec that we became interested in pursuing and committing to such an agreement,” Dillingham acknowledged.

“Bridgeport and Tnemec share the same business philosophy, which is to formulate, distribute and support the finest coatings available with 100 percent customer satisfaction during and after the sale,” Dillingham added. “Tnemec has proven it has the resources to supply and service this industry with its own line of products that have a different end use.
